Accountant Basic Function Responsible to the Chief Financial Officer for the daily operations of the general accounting activity of the company.
Required Qualifications Position requires three years' experience as a Controller or an Accountant.
Must understand general accounting principles, General Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP), and federal and state income and payroll taxes.
Job cost accounting experience preferred.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel.
Job Requirements Works independently toward specific results, devising new methods and modifying or adopting standard procedures to meet new conditions.
Strong communication skills to furnish or obtain information with clarity and efficiency with both administrative and field level personnel.
Regularly works with confidential material which if disclosed, could have an adverse internal effect.
This job requires normal mental and visual attention.
The duties and tasks involve sedentary work and may require the ability to lift a maximum of 20 pounds.

Duties and Tasks Plans, organizes, controls and performs various functions of the accounting process.
Ensures that accounting functions are in accordance with generally accepted accounting procedures.
Monitors the cash funds of the company and prepare weekly cash forecast.

Processes weekly Payroll.
Processes weekly Accounts Receivable.
Maintains various schedules including fixed assets, work comp, hours worked and others.
Investigates cost accounting discrepancies within the work order system.
