Chief of Operations General Purpose The Internal Operations Manager role provides support to the COO making sure that everything runs smoothly throughout the company daily operations, as well as aggregating / summarizing data on projects & key deliverables as outlined by the COO.
This role will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer and will work closely with other leaders on his behalf to ensure the execution of required procedures, production rates and other goals throughout the entire company.
Hours This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:
30AM to 4:
30PM.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Job Duties and Responsabilities Collaborating with the COO to determine and prioritize operations strategies Daily / Weekly / Monthly deliverable tracking to ensure that all company procedures and expectations are being upheld.
Data Aggregation & Analysis and provide recommendations as needed and directed by the COO.
Working with division leaders, project managers, and support staff to deliver, monitor and communicate progress towards goals, initiatives, and KPIs.
Help with monthly invoicing, analysis, and collection efforts of key accounts.
Collaborate with Bid & Change Order Strategy initiatives.
Responding to inquiries on behalf of the COO / Attending meetings on behalf of COO if there are schedule.
Measures of Success Demonstrate the ability to aggregate / analyze data in a manner that is efficient and effective.
Demonstrate ability to communicate with company leaders to meet the goals on all Divisions Demonstrate the ability to respond inquiries / attend meetings on behalf of the COO.
Demonstrate competent knowledge of operations processes.
Demonstrate competent knowledge and competency of the Bidding / Change Order process.
Demonstrate competent knowledge of the company's various softwares.
Qualifications/Experience/Education Knowledge - Possess working knowledge of specialty contractor operations, green industry specifically.
Understands data analysis processes and can apply critical thinking skills to tasks given.
Abilities - Motivated self-starter with demonstrated ability to work both independently and with others in a team environment with the ability to multitask, prioritize workload, manage time, and handle tight deadlines.
Display a respect for confidentiality.
Must have advanced computer skills and related software packages (Advanced skills in Microsoft Office & Windows is a must, Spectrum by Viewpoint, B2W Estimating Software are all a plus.
) Education - Associate's degree or higher discipline strongly preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is a plus, but not required.
Experience - Three plus years of experience in running operations of a large team in the specialty contractor industry, preferably in the landscape / green industry.
Skills - Exhibit a strong regard for organizing and prioritizing, as well as an ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Other Duties This job operates in an office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, iPad, cell phones, phones, photocopiers, scanner and filing cabinets.
-Considerable time is spent at a desk using a computer terminal.
-This role would require the ability to stand, walk, lift files or office products and supplies up to 30 pounds, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
