We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our team.
As a Project Estimator, you will be responsible for developing accurate foundation estimates for small to complex custom projects.
You must love math and problem solving to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine accurate cost estimates - Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to understand project requirements and objectives - Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys for materials, labor, and equipment - Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create accurate estimates - Research and source pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors - Evaluate bids from subcontractors and negotiate pricing contracts - Create comprehensive cost breakdowns and proposals for clients - Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget - Collaborate with the project team to identify value engineering opportunities
Qualifications:
- 1 year of estimating experience - Proven experience as a Project Estimator or similar role in the construction industry - Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, practices, and techniques - Proficiency in using construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid - Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent communication and negotiation skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Experience with CADD and 3-D modeling software preferred
